Gatsby’s Technical Education Networks (TEN) programme supports technical education teachers in delivering an engaging, industry-informed curriculum. Drawing on the expertise of specialist teachers, employers, and awarding bodies, TEN develops free teaching materials, commissions research, and hosts events to enhance subject-specific pedagogy with an early focus on T Levels.

New construction teaching resources for the Design, Surveying and Planning T Level focusing on modern methods of construction are now available and feature nine short industry films highlighting various roles within the sector. Will Swan, Director of the Energy House Laboratories at the University of Salford and a key contributor to these resources, added:

“As a research body working in housing, we see one of the big issues is giving people the skills and knowledge to deliver our future homes. This has been a great project to be involved with, with Gatsby bringing together industry, academia, and providers to develop something relevant and engaging for people entering a changing construction sector.”

TEN has also published T Level teaching materials in the Health and Science and Digital routes, with additional resources in Engineering and Manufacturing and new Digital content coming soon.
